He is playing the game of thrones. Look at what happened with Ron Paul when he ran. GOP literally changed the rules to stop him and it he was virtually blacklisted by the media who only acknowledged him when they were saying he was irrelevant even when he was leading in the polls. Even when he won the most delegates in Iowa. The GOP literally canceled voting in a heavy Ron Paul district in Maine due to a fictional snow storm.



I still have high hopes for Rand. I do think he will be the next Republican President. He has good standing with the Trumpeteers and should do well with independents and anti-war Democrats.

He actually would not have had to do that much to become a legit candidate. He had a NK deal within reach and literally left it on the table. He could've signed on to the Paris Accord and won plenty of brownie points. He could've forced the Reps and Dems to tackle immigration in a humane and decent way. Those 3 plus a good economy, assuming no new wars, would've given him the adulation he dreams of.

Taxpayers covered the cost of security for the Trump kids' business trips. Per NBC,

taxpayers paid $97,830 for a trip to Uruguay, $53,155 for a trip to

Vancouver, and $16,738 for a trip to Dubai.

Totally normal for our tax dollars to cover costs for "independent" businesspeople.
 
In February 2018, Don Jr. traveled to India to sell more than $1 billion worth of luxury residential units built by the Trump Organization, according to the New York Times.

Again, there were supposedly going to be "no new foreign deals" while Trump was in office.

A foreign policy and terrorism expert believes President Donald Trump and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, "just got played" by Russian President Vladimir Putin, after Turkey was permitted to launch its current attack into northeastern Syria.

The offensive, labeled Operation Spring Peace by the Turks, was launched on Wednesday after a phone call between Trump and Erdogan the previous Sunday. Trump announced the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Syria's border with Turkey soon after the phone call.

Following the withdrawal, Trump was accused of betraying the region's Kurdish population and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)—a force that was instrumental in quashing the influence of militants from the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) in the region.

Michael S. Smith II, an al-Qaeda and ISIS expert, as well as a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University's Global Security Studies Program, said the move only played into Russia's hands.
