The Trump Presidency

So if Trumps DoJ prosecutes people for removing statues, they plead guilty, but during sentencing phase Biden is inaugurated and his new AG requests the charges be dropped because of an lack of evidence. Will that be justice to you? Will that make them innocent of the crime to you?

OO's approval rating still at 38%. Nixon's, who was no where near as corrupt, sunk to about 25%, though his average was much higher than OO's.

Still surprised to see his base stay with him.

The alternative options are pretty bleak.

And thats the approval rating when respondents are concerned that revealing their preference could lead to a loss of income and shame.

Numbers are always lower then reality especially this year.

People will be shocked on election day.

wondering here if Creepy Joe slept last night with the pending Ghislaine Maxwell revelations.
Or the SCOTUS about to tell us whether we see Crooked Hillary's tax returns

Do tell about the "alternative options"

Yeah, Mr. Creepy Joe "Don't mix the schools, or it will be a jungle" and "those kids touched my hairy legs with the roaches running across the floor" doesn't get me fired up.

There have been various articles written summarizing some of the things in Mary Trump's book.

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/07/07/nine-details-donald-trump-niece-book-350808

This one has a top 10 list. None of it is earth shattering. #6 on the list is something I've long believed to be crucial to understanding very poorly chosen one's dysfunction. His mother almost died giving birth to his younger brother and spent a long time recuperating. Even after she recovered his friends have described her as a distant presence. It is odd that he now favors a hairdo similar to hers. His relationship with his father has been written about extensively, but imo it is his relationship or lack thereof with his mother that is more important. Take that for what it's worth from a not-very-good amateur psychologist.

6. Trump's personality is the product of his relationship with his mother
The author suggests that Donald Trump’s personality is shaped by the weak relationship she says he had as a child with his mother, also named Mary Trump. Because of that, the president’s niece suggests that Donald Trump turned as a child to his father, who was also not a warm parent.

“Donald suffered deprivations that would scar him for life” and developed personality traits such as “displays of narcissism, bullying [and] grandiosity” as a result, the author writes.

There is also a bit about a “long undiagnosed learning disability." This is not new. Many of his advisors have commented on his inability to process information. Obviously it is a deadly thing in a president. The price for which we are all paying.

The fact that OO's niece has a doctorate in psychology is the most interesting part of this story. Surely, she's got enough for a couple more volumes.

His ability to control unfavorable situations by lying, spinning, and obfuscating has diminished to the point of impotence in the midst of the tragedies we are currently facing,” she said.

I wish that were true.

“His egregious and arguably intentional mishandling of the current catastrophe has led to a level of pushback and scrutiny that he’s never experienced before, increasing his belligerence and need for petty revenge as he withholds vital funding, personal protective equipment, and ventilators that your tax dollars have paid for from states whose governors don’t kiss his ass sufficiently,” Mary Trump wrote.

New tidbits on his overreach and abuses of power will continue to come out for a long time. The final account of his misdeeds is going to be mind-blowing, although it already is.
