The Trump Presidency

Trump conference with police officers. They are complaining about being charged with crimes, losing qualified immunity and their "due process" rights. Funny how they are so hostile at people trying to hold them accountable to the law but think we should thank them for doing that to us?

Now they are complaining about people having a problem with excessive force.

The question I would have for all these cops endorsing Trump.

"Given the overwhelming support for Donald Trump by law enforcement if he loses by a large margin would you accept that as a rebuke of police and possibly consider that police need to change in accordance with the will of the people?"

picture from a while back of NY police turning their backs on De Blasio.

someone needs to remind them that 1) taxpayers pay their salaries and benefits and 2) taxpayers elect the mayor to oversee them

no i don't think they will see any election outcome as a rebuke...they think they are a kingdom unto themselves and that elected officials are a nuisance

"people need to understand we dont make the laws we just enforce them"

Then why does your union donate to anti-legalization politicians. Yes you have a right to lobby but you arent lobbying for a pay raise or more time off, you are specifically targeting a law that the public overwhelmingly does not support. What do you call it when a Sheriff gets a platform on local news and tells people that he cant keep them safe if they vote to legalize marijuana then a year later after its legalized he is still employed and there has been no increase in people being harmed?

I would really love a detailed explanation on how exactly police would "stop this" in 10 minutes if they were allowed to. How exactly does that work.

PRESIDENT Donald Trump’s suggestion to delay the presidential election is grounds for “immediate impeachment,” according to the leader of an influential conservative organization.

Federalist Society co-founder Steven Calabresi opposed Trump’s impeachment last year, but he thinks the president’s tweet on Thursday criticizing mail-in voting and bringing up a postponement to election day crossed the line.

“Until recently, I had taken as political hyperbole the Democrats’ assertion that President Trump is a fascist,” Calabresi wrote in an op-ed published in The New York Times on Thursday.

“But this latest tweet is fascistic and is itself grounds for the president’s immediate impeachment again by the House of Representatives and his removal from office by the Senate.”

This should have been obvious at the least when he got upset when Pence kind of assumed he would be the successor to Trump in 2024 because he plans for one of his dufus kids to run. Feels like he has been President for 10 years now. I can only imagine what kind of **** he would pull in a second term.

For those of you keeping score at home, Mr. Steven Calabresi,

co-founder of the Federalist society, is calling @realDonaldTrump

's tweet pondering the postponement of the election "fascistic,"

and grounds for the president's immediate impeachment and removal.

So there's that.

That seems rather harsh and silly as well. There is no need for impeachment now. OO's self-destruction is too entertaining.

fake news media not giving Trump credit for hurricane off the coast of Florida weakening into a tropical storm thanks to President Trump's strong leadership. If Joe Biden was President we would have category 8 hurricanes every week.

Fake news. Clearly the doctors at Walter Reed were so impressed by Trumps physical fitness that they requested an immediate examination so they could marvel at how healthy he is.
