A nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize may be submitted by any person who meets the nomination criteria. A letter of invitation to submit is not required. The names of the nominees and other information about the nominations cannot be revealed until 50 years later.

There are 318 candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize for 2020, of which 211 are individuals and 107 are organizations.

318 is the fourth highest number of candidates ever. The current record of 376 candidates was reached in 2016.

That's hilarious and probably exactly right. But WILL Pence pardon him? Not for nothing he won't.
 
I think that is wrong. The pardon could be challenged because Pence could be seen as a co-conspirator. A pardon could be used as proof that he committed whatever crimes he was pardoned for. And even then the most real legal threat he faces is state charges in NY for which Pence cant pardon him.

That scenario is just not in the cards. But he will have some legal problems as soon as he leaves office. SDNY will probably move on the Stormy Daniels payments. And the case where the Manhattan district attorney is trying to get his taxes looks like a headache that will not go away.
 
A Pence pardon would be treated like a Ford pardon of Nixon.

credibly accused creepy joe has discussed this and said no one is above the law...the career professionals at DoJ will make the call based upon the same considerations used in other cases...namely, whether they assess that with a high probability they can prove to a jury a crime has been committed

3 years ago i'm having a drink at the hotel bar in Charlotte...and that was the topic of conversation...very matter of fact...everyone including the bartender talked as if it was a well-established fact...that's why i love visiting the south...you don't get that kind of entertainment anywhere else
