Masculinity properly understood has much to recommend itself.

I personally have an affinity for the Gary Cooper version.

But I also think the yiddish word mensch summarizes manly values that we can all aspire to without feelings of guilt about being proto chauvinists.
 
Testerome continues to plummet with each new generation.

Our boys are taught that being manly is toxic.

We have feminized our society.

It’s expected that academics would have no issue with the feminization of society. It more aligns with how they are normally.

I agree with you that he was a poor example. Unfortunately, he was still it's best chance.

I think Make America Sane Again would go well with your MAMA movement. Far fewer limp wrists in a saner version of the country.

Being a woman is a wonderful thing. There's nothing greater for a female to aspire to. But a woman who aspires to be a man becomes less than either. Vice versa for men. The individual and society lose something when one believes there is no difference between the two.

A strong feminine aspect to society does all of us good. A feminine aspect to men lessens femininity, men, and society.

It’s not complicated. Men and women were never meant to be the same. We were meant to compliment each other. It’s the most beautiful thing you can have in this world is a partner that completes you.

I'm not arguing (and I don't think anyone is) there is no difference between the two or that men should live life trying to pose as women, I'm just suggesting that 'feminization of society' on its face isn't necessarily a terrible thing.

Men tend to be more rational, analytical, and logical than women. Women tend to be more creative, nurturing, and empathetic. Men tend to have a much harder time expressing or experiencing feelings than women. I wouldn't suggest that a woman who is more analytical and less empathetic is inherently bad, nor would I suggest that a man who is more creative and less rational is bad.

In a world that was dominated by men for centuries, some shift towards femininity is probably a good thing. Perhaps we wouldn't have 3x more men committing suicide than women if men were a little more capable of expressing their feelings and didn't feel the full burden of providing 100% for the family. The vast majority of domestic violence incidents are male on female, and nearly all domestic homicides are male on female- again, perhaps reduced levels of testosterone and heightened levels of empathy could be helpful here.

There is a lot of room between 'society is making men and women totally equivalent and ignoring the important differences between the two' and 'society is recognizing the value of both genders and becoming slightly less patriarchal and overly driven by testosterone than it has been historically.' I would argue that when we talk about decreasing levels of testosterone, it's because of the second thing not the first.
