The Trump Presidency

Well, court packing is coming up at a time when the SC is more right

It's coming up because of the ****housery of Mitch McConnell. It's plain as day if you're not a far right sycophant. It's the left's reaction to McConnell's ****housery. They won't do anything about it. But they're gonna mention it as a means to remind peopel about what Mitch did to keep their base pissed.

McConnell didn't change any rules.

The dems want to radically expand the court bc they are butt hurt they lost their activists

Court has expanded multiple times.

Find me in the constitution where it says there are to be 9 supreme court justices?

Congress could easily enact a law to expand it to 11 if they wanted to. It was Mitch that first bucked tradition.

I never said the court can't be expanded.

What I said was, when Mitch and Trump had the chance to do it, they didn't. Instead, the maintained a 150 year precedent.

The minute the left lost their activist majority they now want to expand. They want four new ones... I wonder why four??

Mitch and Trump didn't have to. Because Mitch stonewalled the democrat president to elect a universally respected nominee, then later pushed a universally reviled nominee. One that almost certainly cost them their at least 50% stake on the Senate.

If Biden got to name 3 justices with 1 of them replacing Thomas, the right would be up in arms.

Zito has this thing where he replies to you with a response to something you didn't say.

Note this when you see his posting pattern.

Boo Hoo - We don't have a court that will push our communist poison.

Its always people that have accomplished nothing in their life that try to push their agenda on others.

These are the people they want on the SC and then wonder why we are hell bent on stopping them.

You can't stop your dick from getting hard when you see the name Ivanka, You're not stopping anything. I will laugh really hard when you are changing your tune in 3 years.

“For those of us who are concerned about the direction of the court and wanting at least a more centrist figure than between him and somebody that President Clinton might nominate, I think the choice is clear — in a lame duck,” Flake said Wednesday after Obama named Garland.

Cool.

He's currently targeting parents as domestic terrorists and suing anyone looking into election issues. He has weaponized the DOJ in a way that Eric Holder would jealous

Jeff Flakes opinion....

HAHAHAHAHAHAH

Garlands actions show exactly what a petty little rat faced tryant he is.

This is asinine because they did have a shot. You're ignoring that Kennedy was a swing Justice. What happened when Kennedy retired is it turned the swing justice into Roberts, which basically made the court Roberts to run.

It was Kennedy who voted against Obamacare individual mandate.

For you if someone isn't so far right they live in 18th century America they're not right wing.

Let's look at the makeup of the court real quick by what presidents were in office when nominated.

Kennedy - Reagan
THomas - GHW Bush
RGB - Clinton
Breyer - Clinton
Roberts- GW Bush
Alito - GW - Bush
Sotomayor - Obama
Kagan -- Obama

That was the 8 person court as of the beginning of 2016. The reason the democrats are clammoring about examping the court is because of Mitch's **** housery. FIrst by stalling any obama court nomination in 2016. And instilling a Trump justice right away, keeping the general balance from before.

Reagan Nominated Kennedy retired in 2018 replacing him with another conservative judge move the court further to the right.

But the reason dems are mad is because McConnell in 2016 basically said the will of the people should have a say in the next justice, but in very late 2020 that didn't seem to matter, let's get Barrett in right away. Personally I hope this massively backfires on Trump republicans where both Gorsuch and Barrett vote in ways that piss them off and they keep losing because ofhteir obvious hypocrisy.

I mean, Souter was nominated by a republican too, but anyone who pretends he wasn't far left of center deserves to be mocked.

Kennedy was close enough to the center that voters from both sides think he was on the other team, but he went left on the biggest cases of his career with Obergefell being the most prominent example. The most socially progressive state in the country had just voted against gay marriage when the Supreme Court made the decision that defines the term "judicial activism." Kennedy was one of those 5 activists so let's not act like it matters who nominated him.

Kennedy was a huge individual liberties guy. So it's not shocking his opinion on obergefell. Nor is it shocking his opinion on Obamacare.
