They resigned as their only means of protest against the DA not wanting to being charges against Trump. They have him dead to rights on the financial crimes but the hangups legally they have to show intent to break that law
Ironically that's the same thing holding up charges against Hunter Biden in the tax investigation of him.

Hillary is one of the most investigated politicians I can think of. I wonder if all the investigations of a Trump even amount to the waste of time that was the Benghazi hearings. Republicans have already said they are going to investigate everything that moves after the mid terms in an attempt to get Biden. I seem to recall Republicans pearl clutching when Demovrats said that.
