The Update You Don't Want To Read. Trust Me.

Uggs just didn't adjust to his age. Even as great as Chipper was, the last three or four years he was a different guy than before the shoulder issue. Uggs hasn't been injured but he thinks every ball belongs in the left field seats. Makes that 33 game hit streak from two years ago quite impressive.

I think it's pretty sad how many people here are hating on him.

It's actually really classless. He gave his all for the Braves and was always professional about the whole thing. Maybe that suspension he had before the release was the his boiling point.

I get flak for "not being a Braves fan." But it's perfectly acceptable to hate Dan Uggla?

Completely agree. I don't enjoy seeing people fail, apparently some people do. I'm glad he's another team's problem but it's sad people are happy another human being is struggling.

I don't enjoy seeing Uggla fail. I like Uggla. When productive, he is the exact type of player you want on your ball club. However, I don't see anything wrong with people not wanting him to go to a rival and light the world on fire while on our payroll, when all he did was make us a worse team when he was here. We are in a pennant race with the likes of the Giants, Nationals, Dodgers, Cardinals, Brewers, Pirates, and maybe even the Marlins. I don't want to see any of their players do well at this point of the season. As of now, and at least until October, I hope they all fail. I'm sorry if you think that makes me a bad person.

So I'm supposed to root for Uggla?
I don't like seeing other human beings fail, so I hope Bryce Harper hits 40 homers!!
It's not like we're hoping he ends up homeless. We're hoping he continues to be a terrible player, like he was for us. It's pro sports.

Retire Uggla and the thread
