The Walking Dead

It seems cool to hate on The Walking Dead nowadays. I still enjoy each and every episode.

I'm not hating either. It has just slowed down so much. Like Dalyn said, slowing down the pace probably wouldn't mean that much if the writing and character development were a bit stronger right now.

I agree that I still enjoy every single episode. Still the best show on television for me right now. Though Better Call Saul is pretty awesome as well.

Better Call Saul is great. Really enjoying it so far. The writing is top notch.

Walking Dead is still highly entertaining and superior to probably 85 percent or more of what's on television currently. Season 3 and 4 were both pretty uneven, but Season 5 has been pretty strong so far imo. One of the show's biggest weaknesses to me is the dialogue between the characters can be pretty bleh sometimes.

And since it was mentioned here, through five episodes, Better Call Saul is everything and more than I could have ever hoped it would be. Couldn't be more impressed so far.

Yeah. Dialogue is BY FAR its biggest weakness. It bleeds over to everything else. Disrupts the flow. You want some great dialogue? Check out Justified (especially later seasons when Olyphant joined the writing team).

Couldn't agree more. There are lines in that show that I'm jealous I couldn't pull off.

This was perhaps the worst episode of TWD I've seen in a while.

This episode had some strong points. Love Carol. Her conversation with the boy was perhaps the best dialogue in the whole series. Hate the signs Rick might eventually turn back into irritating passive pussy Rick. Crazy Rick is refreshing.

Not even in the same league as Game of Thrones or Homeland IMO

Not a Game of Thrones fan, myself. Nothing against it, I'm just not that into that genre.

I've watched Homeland. Very good. But Strikeback blows Homeland out of the water, imo. If you've never heard of Strike Back, you don't know what you're missing. It's like 24 on crack.

Have only seen bits and pieces of this season. I'll probably binge-watch it during my session break at the end of the month. Very well-written show that is running out of gas. Glad they are calling it a series after this season. Just getting a bit too convoluted. But the dialogue on the show has always been superb and continues to be.

Homeland's ridiculous storyline, with the bipolar Carrie Mathison, IS entertaining.

I don't have a big selection to choose from but my 2 favorite shows are probably The Americans and Justified. House of Cards and Person of Interest too.

Crazy that they are turning into the bad guys. The cannibals really messed with them but that is how it has to be in this new world.

I don't think it's a matter of good or bad. I think it shows how so much we consider good and bad are nothing but social constructs. The social reality is changing. As such, those constructs will also change.

I think there is always the greater good theory at work where some bad needs to be tolerated.

To arrive at the conclusion the only option for Rick to deal with the abusive husband is to kill him then I think you are more than teetering on the unethical side of judgement.

Carol's opinion on an abusive husband is not the baseline here. She was abused by her husband. That plays a huge role in her opinion.
