The Wall

trump called Mexicans rapists, but he's a rapist and a habitual sexual assaulter. he's committed the crimes he accuses brown people of committing. he's dangerous around women when alone with them

Maybe the embarrassing verdict in California will galvanize the majority of Americans to finally secure thenborder and build the wall. Tax overhaul and limit illegals in the country means jobs for the middle to lower middle class AMERICANS.

It has been almost a month since we last looked in on the Wall

Kellyanne Conway tells @ChrisCuomo that after consulting with experts,

Trump has “discovered” a physical wall is not needed

across entire border; part of it is better technology,

part of it is fencing, etc

David Corn refers to this development as "the long con continues"

In her recent essay, The Wall, Brookings Senior Fellow Vanda Felbab-Brown argues that the Trump administration’s anti-immigration rhetoric is largely uninformed, and that the administration has greatly misunderstood the importance of a mutually beneficial agreement between the United States and Mexico that enables environmental, security, economic, and cultural cooperation.

I too think that building a wall on the border will somehow decrease America's appetite for drugs.

REmember that (R) Civil War I talked about yesterday ?

Rand Paul to @jaketapper:

“I’m actually a fiscal conservative who doesn’t want to throw the kitchen sink at the wall,”

adding that “$40 billion” and “$21 million per mile” for Trump’s border wall is “outrageous

not only is he a terrible citizen that impinges on his neighbors property with his debris,
He apparently knows the effects of throwing sinks at walls

Supply and demand. Reduce the supply and the price point goes up which in essence makes it less affordable which translate to less usage. I mean - This is basic economic concepts.

You will see the change happen once the wall is up and that wall is going to get built.

I respect his position. The Mexican government has put the US in a terrible spot. Mexico relies on the billions of dollars that are sent back to its country from illegal immigration. So while their government allows the cartels to run the show this is only possible because US dollars subsidize their government. Putting up a wall will force Mexico to actually fix their country.

well can't they just throw the bags of drugs over the wall ?

can they get the drugs in by boat up the California coast or via the Gulf of Mexico ?
Biloxi, Do we really want a wall around Biloxi or Mobile?

Mississippi Delta, ??

It won't eliminate the drug trade and nobody has ever said that. If the wall is 15/20/30 feet high its not as easy as throwing them over the wall. The wall will work by reducing these activities. Nobody is claiming it will eliminate them.

Do you think once the wall is completed there will be thousands of Mexican and indigenous peoples standing at the wall wondering what to do next ?

oh yeah, throwing the bags over the wall wasn't an original curiosity
......................

My suspicion is this would be tied up in the courts until well past 2020 when (R) comes to it's collective senses
I would be soooo surprised if this idiotic notion ever becomes a reality
Ever seen the cover of the album Who's Next ?
Or watched 2001 A Space Oddity ?

Speaking of wasting billions of dollars that could be used to say, re pipe Gary , Indiana water or build a bridge in Minnesota or high speed rail in Florida,
Or fund research into battery technology etc etc etc

What is the projected cost of building a new embassy in Jerusalem ?

and will Palestine pay for it ?

Such an idiotic post with absolutely no point that is made.

What will happen is that the wall will force the Mexican government to make real changes that helps its people.

how will a wall do that ?

Because the Mexican people will not be able to get jobs in America as easily. Because they will not be able to send money back to feed their family as easily. This is not hard. Break outside your bubble. If families cannot support their children then they will demand change. The US has allowed the Mexican governemnt to get away with its rampant corruption and inability to govern for far too long. But that is what happens when big business is in bed with government. Cheap labor is great to subsidize big business profits.

will the wall stop mailing money back and forth or e banking money transfers ?

again with supply and demand, if there is demand for cheap labor, do you really think this will inhibit the immigration (legal or illegal) of able bodied workers.

Who is going to pick all of the fruit in California?
A few years back they tried restricting labor in Georgia. The strawberries rotted in the field. The land owners and farmers quickly had that straightened out.
A note, Norwegians don't pick fruit or do the dirty work that so much relies on cheap foreign labor
