Had a phone call the today with old friends in California who are setting aside cash so they can leave the country at a moment’s notice. I feel bad that that they allowed themselves to be gaslit so badly

Except from the fact that republicans for first time ever nationally had an amazing get out the vote and brought in low propensity never before voters. Then I think also voting population increase the last four years.

And people voted less because of less mail in voting. Coupled with a horrible choice made by the DNC, etc.
Mail in voting did not stop. There were additional protections to ensure bull**** ballots were not injected into the system.

2020 had universal mail in voting. Most states repealed that and went back to needing a reason to do mail in voting.
Yes - the bull**** where people requested ballots in the name of people who never voted and voted in their names.

As I’ve always said, while idiots were running with repeal the 19th narrative, that women are malleable and once strong men move in a direction women will follow.

Young people were railroaded by (D) under COVID and I’d like to think it’s a big reason why they punched back.
Culture - They were sick of being policed for regular thoughts.
Economics - Life is extremely difficult for young people right now.
And yes, I’m sure Covid played a role in it but that was 4 years ago and people do just forget.

4m people flipped their vote from Biden to Trump in 2024 (combined with Trump converting some low propensity voters and some people not bothering this cycle). This passes the smell test.
I think there was some shenanigans with harvesting mail-in ballots in 2020. It was a unique election and I’m glad states are adopting stricter voting requirements. I don’t see any evidence that the scale was in the “millions of fake urban votes”.
Long term this outcome (lose 2020, win 2024) is infinitely better for MAGA. Some inflation was inevitable after Covid and Biden got stuck with the grenade (which he threw gasoline on). Trump gets a new administration and a mandate. I cautiously optimistic based on what Elon and Vance have mentioned in interviews.
