I figure that it will be impossible to get 162 games in, but MLB can do a lot to get more in than we have a right to expect. Some off the cuff proposals:
We already have a 26th man. Expand the roster to 27 and play Day/Night DH every Saturday, possibly some midweek DH as well.
Play the World Series at a neutral site to be predetermined, either in a dome or a very warm weather place. I would propose Minute Maid Park right after Houston is declared ineligible. Maybe Marlins yard.
Possibly LCS at neutral site also, the better to play them in mid-October. Juggle schedule so there are few games in farthest North in October and play regular season through October 15th. Series in November. (You're going to be butting heads with football no matter what)
IF they could get more than 125 games in, it would be a miracle. But that's enough to determine a champion.
