Thread: GDT: 4/11 Bravos @ Nationals - let the suckage continue!

Stubbs is trash! Come on dude.

I don't believe in calling any MLB player trash, calling people trash in general never appealed to me unless speaking of scumbags like say rapists, murderers and such. Further, I also believe a player who just had a three run homer and good game overall should play while contributing, esp. given our situation. IOW, I don't like sending a message that you'll be benched after playing well and get to play no matter what you do (AJP example). Enough said.

As much as I hate people who harp on an ump's strike zone, the called third strike to Aybar was called a ball on at least four occasions in the bottom of the first.

Every time a ball is hit to Aybar, I do the old Jeff Blauser "hold my breath" trick waiting for something bad to happen.

He barely got to it too, showing again his lack of range and then barely got him at first due to his arm not being a strength either. He was great years ago because he had such great range, that was a gold glove season but this Aybar and that Aybar are not the same. He is really a second baseman playing short at this stage, or someone you'd be fine with backing up short but wouldn't want starting unless rebuilding and don't care about winning.

Olivera has a hole in his swing about the size of [choose your metaphor]. Wonder why our scouts who wanted him so badly couldn't see that?
