Prospect writer watching Touki tonight:

#Braves Touki: despite velo and life, FB doesn’t miss bats in zone; CB flashes plus (doesn’t sit there); firm CH but it’ll flash too. Still don’t know where the 7 CB talk comes from. Back end rotation or just let him shove in the pen

I'm OK with that. He could probably shove in the pen at SunTrust next spring.

Disagree wholeheartedly! It's dumb even thinking about it UNTIL he shows he can't be a starter. The clown who wrote that takes one start that was more than decent to assess that? I've seen him enough to think he's not bullpen material just yet. Maybe in a couple of years but the Touki you're seeing now is good.

Screw this. Touki has been awesome.

Entering the game, touki stats...
Era = 3.36
FIP = 3.69
K9 = 11.01
BAA = .211

The highest BAA for him in A, A+, and AA in the last 4 seasons is .242 in A+

What's this guy talking about?

So basically this guy is saying touki’s FB has velocity and life but. Um. Yeah that is what a good FB should have. Dumbass.

Some of these "writers" work at Bobs Big Weeny. I sit next to or get to talk to numerous scouts or knowledgeable people at least. Literally no one has had a report this half-azz. Touki is not all the way there, but his curve is devastating...Stewart now owns the curveball crown, but Touki's is unreal.

Prospect fatigue?
