Yep, that start from Touki is a lot like a lot of his other starts, it just obviously looks way better with the results to show for it.

so every #1 should never get hit or lose. Gotcha

Oh Lordie, I like Julio. You are gonna have a tough path to defend him right now. It's not one bad start, it's been EVERY home start this year. Tell me another TOR that has anywhere near his home ERA or a TOR that has his 5.something ERA overall.

I haven't defended his level of suckitude....some of the observations are over the top though.

I don't want him traded now actually when his value is down. I did want him traded at the deadline when there was the perfect storm of a pitching shortage and Julio was pitching well. He will most likely pitch out his contract at this point. Who knows, the Sox still have Quintana....maybe no great deal was offered.

This seems to be a common theme among talent evaluators that have seen him pitch. His mixture of stuff gives him a chance at being a Cole Hamels.

It's not like he has been getting tourched, just pretty average. Remember, he lost almost two years....he's like a 21 year old development wise. I think he will come around. Touki has been getting tourched, and now boom...
