Tigers game 2

Really strange what's going on with Arcia.

He's hitting the ball harder than last season. His chase rate is slightly higher, but he's also swinging at more pitches in the zone. He's making more contact than last year. His K% is basically the same as well. Only major difference I can tell is that his BB rate is down about 3 points and his HR rate is down a little. And obviously he seems to be getting unlucky as well, with a BABIP 50 points lower than last year and 30 points below his career average.

I know he's been hot garbage out there with the bat but I don't think they would throw someone that young in at SS when Arcia is still really good in the field.

The lineup can't mask him. Can't plan on winning every game 2-1. Who knows how long Harris will be out? Arcia better be pulling for Murphy to get back right and nacho stop hitting.

Well let’s wait and see if Nacho can sustain anything. He seems to get on a heater at the start of every new level and then usually comes back down to earth. He certainly wasn’t anything special at AA and we can’t blame it all on ballpark.
