Time to extend Gattis

Gattis now leads the Braves in WAR. He has 99 less AB's than Heyward. What a damn season so far.

Would be fun to watch, but I'm scared of him doing something like that which could mess with his swing. The curse of the hr derby is overblown, but something about it does scare me. He better be on that all star roster though or I will hate Matheny for the rest of time.

if he continues he should be, it is not like he is only a catcher, he can play other positions, just like Lucroy, who is really good.
 
I'm just enjoying what Gattis is giving us right now. I don't know what the future holds for him, and I'm not sure how long he'll be this awesome.

One crazy thing, as good as Gattis is, LuCroy is having an even better year. (though Gattis is closing in)

I take that back actually. What Gattis is doing in less at bats is far more impressive.

Yeah, thats the thing. If we had the DH and Gattis could get 60-70 starts a year then his numbers would be unreal.

I keep on holding out hope that the DH will come and CB becomes our full time catcher with Gattis doing the catching for 30 games a year.

Ya I hate the dh, but baseball really should implement it in both leagues. First of all its just ridiculous that both leagues dont play by the same rules. And secondly it would bring more money in by being a more "exciting" game and help bring in a younger audience, which is where baseball struggles compared to the NBA and NFL.
 
How do these guys even get their own blogs. They talk about extending Gattis like he isn't under team control.
