Christianity is something that no power on earth has the ability to either save or destroy. But I guess we can interpret this (if we are charitably inclined) as an example of a son giving glory to his father.

The Metro Detroit man killed during a shootout with FBI agents Friday served an 11-year prison sentence for shooting at two police officers, was an adherent of an anti-government movement and played a minor role in the infamous Ruby Ridge standoff, one of the darkest chapters in federal law enforcement history.

The troubled life of Madison Heights resident Eric Mark-Matthew Allport, 43, started to emerge as details about what led to the fatal shooting remained shrouded in secrecy and as believers of the right-leaning anti-government Boogaloo movement hailed Allport as a member and martyr.

FBI officials have not revealed exactly how Allport was killed during a shootout with agents who were executing an arrest warrant for a federal weapons offense in the parking lot of a Texas Roadhouse in Madison Heights. The Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office said Allport died of multiple gunshot wounds and classified his death as a homicide.

Okay, he was arrested, not convicted. He gets his day in court like everyone else. The real issue as I see it is the damage being arrested and charged does to a person regardless of their innocence. If this guy spends 50k on lawyers and legal bills and is found innocent thats supposed to be the system working. Incarceration is human trafficking no matter how we want to sugar coat it. Its not less traumatizing because the people doing it have a shiny badge. If they are strip searched its not less sexual assault than being forcibly strip searched by a random person on the street. Now I dont blame these cops here, they are obviously in tough position. I dont give two ****s about peoples right to pray to Santa Claus or whatever make believe person they want but those people looked like they were doing a pretty good job of distancing and it was outside. I personally want cops who will say no when given an order to arrest people for BS like this. Sometimes their job is to protect us from government and from their fellow cops.
