I’m so tired of this constant see-saw of when politicians are inciting violence vs. when they’re not. THis guy has no remorse. no regret. He won't change his vote. It's not worth doing that. The MAGA crowd didn't try to win back the never-Trumpers, they abandoned the DNC the second there wasn't an old white man running for office. Trying to appeal to Trump voters doesn't matter. Try to appeal to the working class. That's where you win. That's where you get votes. Not by having sympathy for idiots who vote against their best interest.
Why would he? Nobody is offering a viable solution. If we can’t beat out the people who are trying to deport his ****ing wife for his vote, we need to find a new approach. Maybe not telling him to **** off for being upset at a situation we’re also presumably upset about. Those families you’re wanting to keep together include these very people. Empathy extends to people you don’t agree with politically. That’s why I think the Tesla stuff is particularly ****ty. Hell, many of the people driving Teslas probably don’t even support Trump in most areas. But it doesn’t matter, these people aren’t running the government. Protest Elon, protest Trump, use your voice to effect change, but don’t just hurt others for no reason.
I cannot imagine reading a person say they thought Trump was going to actually just go after hardened criminals only to find out he’s a ****ing liar, and think “**** that guy” and not Trump or Democrats for being useless or anything else but that guy who was sold a lie.

I dunno, if someone says hey give me 5 bucks and I'll punch you in your face and someone else says hey give me 5 bucks and I won't punch you int he face, I find it hard to feel bad for someone getting punched in the face. Maybe I'm too much of a Darwinist. But I don't really have massive empathy for people like this. Because they'll never learn. If they don't believe Trump will act on the things he says he'll do, then why would anything I say or do to them matter? Clearly they like trump either because he has an R next to him name or bec ause of Trump's cult of personality. Neither of which likely leads to that person voting for a democrat. If someone says they regret voting for Trump then I'll welcome them over. But if they don't regret it, I don't really care. You're much more empathetic than me, that's fine, I can appreciate it. I think when someone who probably has a **** your feelings bumpersticker gets their feelings hurt I think it's funny.
