Sure, dude. I’ve seen enough first-hand accounts of how that “mutilation” has transformed the patients lives for the positive that I don’t much give a fuck what you think about me accepting it as plausible treatment. If the outcomes show that they should do something different, then doctors should do something else. But you’re once again just asking me to follow you blindly instead.
Oh yeah - they get validation immediately and are miserable afterward. But you don’t give a fuck about that because you are only there day 1.

“You let them have a medical procedure done so therefore it’s fine for me to make their lives hell” is not an argument I find persuasive.
And yeah, if the medicine doesn’t support continuing the treatment plan, I’ll likely not question that, just as I don't question other changes to medical treatment plans because I’m neither a doctor nor am I someone seeking that treatment. You do you, though.
I only know a couple people who have transitioned and it’s the same for them. But I guess I need to instead listen to Sturg’s opinion so that I’m not a sheep.

I notice you didn’t respond to how I should form my opinions on medical conditions and treatment for which I cannot experience or study myself. Should I just trust whatever the politicians say, what doctors say, whatever I reckon makes sense to me? Should I be dogmatic about it and not be willing to change my views if new evidence is provided that supports a difference guidance? Should I listen to first-hand accounts of those who received the care or just you?

I would like you to use your own brain and not just fall victim to authority.
The idea of chopping a 13 year old's breast off should not need to be studied to understand this is a decision that cannot be undone.

Okay, so what do we do if the vast majority of patients being “mutilated” are happy with their treatment? Should I question a procedure or treatment only if it can be described in a grotesque fashion?
How can I trust my own brain when both sides of the debate require me to listen to some authority? One is the authority of “common sense” as you see it and the other is the authority of doctors. You’re not offering more concrete evidence, are you?
