I’m not sure how people are thinking it’s not a unique case when Algeria, a country that has made gender affirming care and gender transitions illegal, is openly supporting her and determined she was legally female.

It would not be especially odd for a third world country not to realize an intersex person wasn't actually the gender they claim to be. It's even possible she may not have known for much of her life. Intersex people are, by definition, ambiguous.

Perhaps, just maybe we should take this same level of nuance in discussions around how she competes, even if we were to eventually come to the same conclusion of some safety measure being needed for the women competing in combat sports. Or to the discussion of whether or not we’re crazy leftist loons for suggesting this is not as straightforward as “woke culture run amok.”

She is male. Regardless of whether or not her sex organs are ambiguous, it doesn't change her biological identity. So yes, anyone supporting a biological male, even an intersex one, competing against biological women is woke culture running amok.
