if a young college educated protester is carrying the Iranian flag, what should I think of that person?

(I know I know the academic has been disabused of needing to ever argue his actual positions anymore.. so any other leftist who wants to engage, please do)

Same thing you shoudl think of a young person college educated or not (more likely not) wearing a MAGA hat.

A lot of people romanticise college in the 60s which was protest heavy.
 
I would say that the Iranian flag is a good deal less offensive than the Confederate flag or Nazi symbols. But that's just my sensibilities.

I should think the same of someone supporting a terrorist regime who would murder people for being gay and women for showing their hair vs someone who wants America to be great?

You realize when they're doing it they're doing it for what's the word, not quite social clout, but like empathy clout? They don't want us killing people over seas and this is their way of showing it.

THey're not doing it for Iran, they're doing it to make people see them as resisters to American agression. They imagine themselves being like the Anti-War Vietnam or Civil Rights protesters.
