They’re naming a place we wine and dine the global elite after Charlie Kirk like this is some fight for free speech or something. It’s a party venue for the rich.

This is ultimately also why the left is so bad at this. Nobody should give a fuck if they want a big party room. They already had plenty in that building and we’ll get used to the new look just as we have for every other change to it. Spend your political capital elsewhere.

Yeah if Trump can repeal an Amendment that quick, that's a hell of a feat. It would be one of the faster ones ever. And has no shot of happening but if it did happen it's clearly the will of the people.

And it would need ot happen in just about 2 years which would be nearly impossible. It took over 4 years to ratify the 22nd, I can't imagine it would be repealed in less time than that.

I am a big Charlie fan. No one in the political commentary space has resonated with me like he did. But national assets shouldn’t be named after divisive or activist figures, ever. This thing should be the White House Ballroom or the the Presidential Ballroom. Maybe the National Ballroom. Nothing else.

It likely costs 10x to work on the WH than anything else in the world

A friend of mine worked on the Augusta National clubhouse Reno.

They knew going in that they weren’t picking the lowest bid- it takes different people working on something like that. Had to use non smokers, couldn’t use machinery that would rattle the wine room, and had to funnel all machine and work dust and exhaust all the way off the premises.

And that isn’t the historical headache that the WH is.
