Fortunately the kids are ahead of the adults. Pot smoking rates among kids in the 8th to 12th grade have declined significantly over the past 15 years and are near historic lows. They probably see their parents getting high and decide it's not cool.
There is also this strange phenomenon of parents trying to relive their college years. I see parents come in during parents' week and some of them make a point of getting drunk or high. I don't get it. I feel embarrassed for them and their kids probably do too. Some of the dads will catcall co-eds. It is a weird vibe.
Less than 10% of the people getting high can function while high. It’s been a massive failure encouraging this to the masses.
