There is no reaction I would say is too strong from "the left" if that happens. We wouldnt be a Democracy anymore. I fully expect Trump to go there. Just a matter of how many Republicans will go along with it. The hardcore MAGA base are openly calling for Trump to go full dictator. They are who we thought they were.
 
These people trying to pretend they are the anti-war people is rich. The Republican quagmires worked out well for them in the end. Got Bush reelected. Then they blamed Obama for trying to pull out of Iraq and now I guess not pulling out of Afghanistan. They blame Obama for Syria which produced a fraction of dead and wounded US soldiers that the Republican wars did. Now Trump drops more bombs than either Bush or Obama and he is the great anti-war icon. Come on man.
