Except you’re not doing that. You’re just assigning the Left as pedophiles for things being done that do not involve the sexual exploitation of children. You’d might as well say that teaching children about racism means the Left is trying to sexually assault minority children.

I suspect that Sex Ed books aren't the sexual literature that sturg was referring to. Are you aware of the very explicit, homosexual, graphic novels that were found in VA school libraries during the CRT spotlight of the governor race? Or the teacher telling kids she doesn't have a US flag in her classroom because it triggers her, but they can pledge allegiance to her pride flag? There are plenty of similar stories.

Sturg’s core argument is that the Left is promoting pedophilia. Even if we want to take these examples as commonplace issues that have no equivalent on the Right, how does these examples actually support that argument? I’m not even actually arguing in favor of any of this, just noting that it’s not promoting adults committing sexual acts with minors. When a position that bold is the starting point, you need to do a whole lot better than an argument of wearing different clothes in front of children or some idiot having them pledge allegiance to a different flag.
 
Maybe he should have said social progressives instead of The Left, but from the outside looking in they've become interchangeable. The push for acceptance of whatever makes someone happy and the push to tally intersectionality points have both come from the social progressives and have resulted in it becoming fashionable to claim some type of non hetero sexuality or any one of an infinity of genders, as long as it doesn't correspond with your biological sex. Normalizing extremes pushes the Overton Window toward ever more deviant behavior, in this case pedophilia.

How would this logically follow if none of these social pushes you’re describing have anything to do with adults having sex with children? It feels like you could just as well throw murder and cannibalism in there as things Leftists support because Lord of the Flies is in school libraries. What you’re arguing here is a slippery slope fallacy that because we’re redefining gender or the widespread acceptance of homosexuality that it’s inevitable that we’ll apply those same changes to sexual relationships between adults and children.

Normalizing adults encouraging kids to express their sexuality, to test the limits of what they want to experiment, etc... is of course the logical step needed to encourage pedophilia.
