Wow: DC plans to make all buses operating within the District FREE
to all riders, starting in summer 2023. We'll be the first major U.S. city
to have free bus service. Also adding overnight service for 12 bus lines
and giving all DC residents a $100 monthly subsidy for bus/metro.

For starters I dont buy anything Project Veritas is selling. I would defer to the parents. I dont agree with a lot of things parents indoctrinate their kids with but thats their right. If this all was actually true, which as I said I dont trust Project Veritas, I dont find it that big of a deal because its high school kids. Most of them are sexually active at that age. I would venture to guess they all knew what dildos were going into this.

Correct. The cat is already out of the bag about sex for teenagers, be they gay or straight. I’d prefer they learn safe practices than pretend they’re not going to have it.
I haven’t ever thought about it enough to have a good answer. I don’t think my 4th grader is ready for in-depth sex talk, but I know by the time I was in 9th grade there were classmates having sex. I think there’s likely professionals or studies that could help narrow down which of the ages between those two it becomes impactful.
Also, I think there are varied levels of sex ed. For instance, I can see there being appropriate conversations to be had with my son, who is starting to need to learn about some of the basics of things like what’s inappropriate behavior.
It depends on the context. Like my edit alluded to, we’ve had the need to start explaining some minor things to my son to ensure he understands if certain actions or behaviors are acceptable or not. If I were to make a guess, I’d say 7th grade or so would be the age range where I’d probably think it’s helpful to start learning a little more about how to safely have sex. That age group is likely already going to be very aware of sex and will probably be savvy enough to find porn. Unless you have a good way to stop kids from learning about sex the wrong way, I’d advise caution against vilifying healthy sex education.
There’s also certainly going to be like 5 schools across America in the past decade that went too far with sex education with 5th graders or something like that that I’m going to be forced to condemn for some ****ing reason.
