Trade Deadline/Rumors thread

Found our future RH power bat.

@Ken_Rosenthal: Tulo gone. CarGo likely next. And Arenado’s remarks to Denver Post make him even more unlikely for extension. Boras client, free after ’18.

Hate that he's a Boras guy but I would give up more for Arenado than Donaldson

Finnegan looks like a RP though and neither Fin nor Manaea were in the BA midseason top 50.

I actually think KC did well enough in the Cueto deal, and he's the type of guy who's worth going all on in. Finnegan is a major league talent regardless of whether or not he starts or relieves, though.

But Manaea could have easily been the #1 draft pick in 2013; #2 prospect in the organization, #85 on Callis' list -- incredible get for Oakland, and you know that they'll be pimping him out, in one way or another, within a year.

Beane says that Aaron Brooks is probably going to get called up in a few weeks, if not sooner.

Rival exec: “I don’t think MIL is really looking to trade Gomez. Price is VERY high -- think they’re hoping to get blown away.”

Hart and Doug Melvin wanting to get blown so bad this deadline.

According to baseball-reference, Arenado isn't a FA until 2020.

If I was Drew Storen, I'd swallow hard but grudgingly understand giving my job to Kimbrel or Chapman. Papelbon? I'd be livid.
