Trade Deadline/Rumors thread

So who else should see a new team in the next 30 hours?

I'm hoping for:
Pierzynski
Gomes
C. Johnson
Maybin

I suspect that only AJ gets traded. If Gomes gets traded, he is likely attached to a better player.

I honestly don't want to hear about any more trades from us right now. This deal has quickly eroded my faith in this FO.

That was about as bog an overpay as a Wood and Peraza for Olivera. Moss isn't good.

I agree that it appears to be an overpay, but I wouldn't say Moss "isn't good."

His numbers are down right now due in large part to a low BABIP (some decrease in pop as well) He's essentially a 2-2.5 WAR player (bc his defense is bad). He's the type of bat that can help them down the stretch, but I don't agree with giving up what they did.

Despite reportedly being prepared to deal Alex Wood to the Dodgers, the Braves are still listening on Julio Teheran, Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports (Twitter links). He suggests, however, that the club may just be hoping for an overpay rather than actively shopping the young righty.

blue jays are closing in on d. price. would be huge get for them. needed pitching. he's one of best.

Good, even though they cost us a WS in 92, I've for whatever reason always liked the Toronto team and fanbase, and it would be exciting to see them get to the postseason and have success, ala KC last year.

That's how I feel about the Astros and Rangers. I really want them to be successful.

That's a pretty clear downward trend. Moss isn't bad, but I think 'not good' is accurate. He's about average at best probably at this point.

They has to give up 3 of their top 5 or 6 prospect (including their top 2), plus other decent pieces to do it. Not worth it, IMO.

Don't forget a few years back they also gave up D'Arnaud and Syndegaard to get Dickey, which I felt was a massive overpay at the time.

Cuba are trying aggressively to dump starlin Castro....relatively cheap contract over the next 4 years (less than $40mil). Struggling at the plate for a second season now.

Would you throw an offer at them and shift him to second?

If seitzer can get him hitting again you can either keep him or flip him

Sorry not as high on Peterson as a lot of people are
