Trade deadline thread

I would rather have a left handed version of Duvall. Was hoping that guy would be Hilliard, but he's been a dud since April. And there really isn't anyone available on the would be sellers who match the description of a left handed Duvall.

Dodgers trading for Kike Hernandez. Return not said yet.

Not a big surprise. Having a terrible year, but now watch him hit .400 in the playoffs. I was hoping the Braves would take a look given Hernandez' ability to play around the diamond.

Hard to tell if he’s a dud. He’s had 18 plate appearances since April, three since May.

this right here is why we wouldn't get Duval. When would he play? once a month.

Could you imagine Twit with a Kiki type player.. he would quit just becuase he couldn't use his lineup cards made in sharpie.

Probably a box of curveballs

Minor league RHPs Nick Robertson (Dodgers' 7th round pick in 2019 out of James Madison University) and Justin Hagenman (Dodgers' 23rd round pick in 2018 out of Penn State). Robertson is 25 and on the 40-man roster. He pitched in 9 games for the Dodgers this year. 13 Ks in 10.1 IP, but 2.032 WHIP and 6.10 ERA. Hagenman is 26 and not on their 40-man. Both guys are having very good years in AAA.

Lots of buzz out there in the Twitterverse about Braves interest in Adam Duvall. Which for me begs the question, what does Duvall give us that Kevin Pillar doesn't? I think Pillar is a great RHH 4th outfielder, good enough defender to play a little center, good numbers against lefties. All for $5M less.

I don't believe any of that crap that pundits link to the Braves...AA keeps everything, especially around the trade deadline close to the vest...his office is air tight...they do not leak.

Damn. Im agreeing with Jsebe. Global warming is real😀😀😀

ok, you might can go ahead and call me crazy: get Arraez from Miami to bat second and mostly DH (and some utility work) & then get Cody Bellinger for mostly LF. Arraez would keep the line moving & Bellinger would drive in some runs. Braves would win a lot of 7-5 games.

No thanks on Duvall, Pillar has been fine. We need a LH hitter more than a righty. Not sure what Bellinger would cost but he’d be the perfect here

I don't want Bellinger. He's a huge candidate for regression. Take a look at his expected numbers, they're ugly. He's been very lucky while not making great contact.

I’d take him if we could get him for nothing. He’d be an upgrade over Rosario for defense alone.

If you add the xSLG and xwOBA together for each Rosario and Bellinger, you get .753 for both. Bellinger is an upgrade defensively but both would be SVODs in the lineup.

One guy I'd be interested taking a flyer on is Tyler O'Neill. The guy is apparently available and he was a legit star two years ago. He K's a lot but he still barrels a ton of balls.
