He does - Freeman has 10/5 Rights, Morton does not.
That's what I thought. I knew Freeman did, but the one I responded to I misread and thought he meant Morton had it as well

Saw this on Twitter: Remember that trade the #Dodgers made with the Reds? The one in which they traded away Matt Kemp, Yasiel Puig, Alex Wood and Kyle Farmer. Well, the two prospects they got in return were used in deals to acquire Mookie Betts, Max Scherzer and Trea Turner.
This is one of the things I've been thinking about with AA that's been frustrating me. Looking at our top prospects list on any site, and there isn't a single prospect that AA traded for. Every prospect is either one that he or the previous regime drafted, or the previous regime signed as an international prospect. Obviously the international sanctions aren't AA's fault, but as that tweet points out, the Dodgers and plenty of others still prioritize getting prospects back in deals even in their windows to compete. You'd think that would be even more of a priority for an organization that hasn't been able to sign any impact international prospects. And it's even more of an argument to sell some pieces this year when the entire roster has been destroyed by injuries, but he won't do that either.
We're in our window to compete right now, so I'm not asking AA to trade everything specifically for prospects, but it's been a weird balance of him showing zero interest in adding prospects to the system while also showing zero interest in giving up any prospects.
The "5" is with your CURRENT TEAM. Freeman no longer has 10/5 protection if he leaves this winter - he'll have to negotiate a no-trade clause into his deal (and that probably ain't happening anywhere other than here)..
When is the deadline? Ready to hear we've traded for a LH heredia

Hope everyone is prepared for Bryant and Kimbrel to the Mets and to watch Kimbrel dominate us for a year and a half.
So I can be a beat writer if I just post useless info.
#phillies still in this. Looking to add starting pitching. # Mets are needing offense. Checking in on some bats. #braves will do nothing as usual. Will be heralded as being smart with resource.
Am I hired.
