Wow. They got him a lot cheaper than most of the other players went for. I wish we would have topped that.
 
Considering what relievers were bringing back, it seems like prices were sky high. Even more of a reason we should have sold. Smith, Matzek, and Jackson could have brought back a haul and freed up a good bit of money in the process.

If there ever was a time to sell, now was clearly the opportune time. I guess we technically upgraded for minimal cost. Should keep us within 5-6 games for the rest of the season. Yay.

I wonder what need Soler fills? I haven’t heard his name in awhile.
 
MLB Network has had really bad coverage today --- especially now. They have missed out on like 5 deals from 4 PM to now while they are discussing trades from 1-2 hours ago.

So they got a 45 for him. I guess that range is the expected return that Freeman would have brought? Slightly higher?
 
If there is anything evidenced by todays lack of action I think now it is a certainty that Braves will be very active in the FA market this winter. Considering the limited trade chips available and the tons of money AA should have to spend. Feel a bit better about FF but still not convinced he wont be going west this winter. If he goes FA there will be the pick left available.
