The primary increase is in bisexuality, which isn’t homosexuality. I’m not interested in a debate about homosexuality, but I do wonder how little awareness it requires to understand that less persecution means more openness, not that people are just suddenly gayer.

A lot of Republicans out themselves as bisexual by saying its a choice. Its only a choice if your bisexual. So as bisexual people they think it works that way for everyone. Mike Pence is a good example. First openly bi-sexual VP in US history as far as I am aware.

I agree it isn't a choice. My suspicion is that it's often a manifestation of PTSD.
