10 House Republicans voted to impeach. Now 35 House Republicans vote to nail Trump to the wall with this commission. The crack is widening.
The crack is widening and the walls are closing, again

It will be interesting to see if JD Vance emerges as the avatar of an authoritarian brand cultural conservatism. There is certainly a ready market for this message.

The idea behind authoritarianism is that pluralism must be crushed because the other (including their ideas) are not worthy of being considered unworthy of being given space in the political arena. We have seen there is a ready market for that.
Conservative and American first ideology has been crushed for decades. This is the natural reaction.
No one has crushed conservatism. Sometimes it lost. Sometimes it won. Sometimes it lost its way. But no one ever denied it space in our political arena.

an interesting counterpoint to JD Vance's comments
Which completely ignores the other dominant ideology in the country that uses the full power of the government to impose their values. It’s the mistake libertarians make all the time. It’s a theory world ideology that ignores reality.
If the conditions were perfect then of course the libertarian point of view is the way.
Authoritarian towards those entities that don’t have Americas best interests.
This is the future of the Republican Party and it will be the most inclusive diverse coalition ever in American politics.
we almost have you 2 admitting what you are now
just a few more inches
admitting Authoritarianism now and the other dumbass is opening saying he doesn't want people voting and supports suppressing the peoples vote
it's very interesting...the party line seems to be "it is the all the fault of the left for triggering the authoritarian turn of the right"
always blaming the "other"...what happened to people taking responsibility for their actions rather than blaming someone else...all victimhood and grievance...zero principles
Amash deserves credit for calling it out...we can disagree or agree with him but he is consistent in his principles
