The "wealthy" are a class of do as I say, not as I do fakes... and Americans with any sense wouldn't listen to a word they have to say. Most aren't as intelligent as guys holding down a decent white collar job.
No, just the much more standard reason of understanding that contributing a bunch of money to politicians that will very explicitly cut your taxes is bad for PR. Elon somehow didn’t get this particular memo and it hasn’t been helpful for his flagship company.
No, it’s just kind of the answer. Individual rich people giving politicians massive piles of cash is like universally unpopular actually. It’s not really a failing of the rich person in this case, it’s a combination of the media and the government.
Ain’t nobody in here saying that it’s not more culturally acceptable in certain circles to be a liberal, which is quite literally my larger point. Most Leftists have a blind spot in their economic ideology when it comes to the rich people they actually like.
Dems have been guilty of this too, but bitching at the Senate Parliamentarian for saving you the headache of having Chuck Schumer filibuster your illegal reconciliation proposal is just dumbfuckery at its finest. Kill the filibuster or shut the fuck up, because it doesn’t work the way you think it does.
