I personally support this aspect of what they’re doing in DC, but I’m surprised by the amount of supposed 2A advocates who suddenly share my zeal for common sense gun laws such as one might find in DC.

I’ve never been an anti-gun nut and don’t think we need to get rid of them all, but I’ve always supported measures like proper background checks, gun safety requirements without loopholes, some limitations on where you can open or conceal carry, and healthy restrictions for those convicted of violent crimes. Usually the folks celebrating the success in DC aren’t on my side.

No, I don’t think they were legally carrying. I don’t think the government is framing these people, they’re just celebrating the application of laws that many on that side are vehemently opposed to in other circumstances. And these are absolutely not things that are in place consistently across the board in this country.

I’m not sure what I find more ridiculous: a state educator standard that somehow involves Prager-Fucking-U, or the idea that other blue states such as Massachusetts, Oregon and Washington should be excluded from this brain-dead policy, let alone not just apply it across the board. Partisan hackery at its absolute finest. Even if only like 20-30% of Oklahomans align politically with the left, that’s a lot of fucking teachers, you absolute dolts. That this state’s education system produced the lawmakers who wrote this policy is fitting.

There’s a growing number of conservatives who just seem to be mad that more creative fields have been dominated by the left despite their own insistence that serious people shouldn’t go into those fields. The Smithsonian is another great example. You can’t bitch and moan about artists inherently being snowflakes then turn around and bitch and moan that art is made by snowflakes.
