Trump = Hypocrite

He did not do the same. He governed with dignity and gave some of the best speeches on race the country has ever heard. That's why White First people hate him so much.

You think it wasn't enough. Perhaps you're right. But just imagine how stirred up these racists would be if he had done more.

Obama was a good president for those not of color or are progressives. I commend him for that for them. I am just equating when Obama did not say anything about the Muslim terrorism in our own country, BLM destructive nature to many businesses when protesting, similar to Retard Trump did with the White Supremacist.

He won't care. Obama is a God to those on the left.

He also sang a hell of an "Amazing Grace" ... in the end, though, he left race relations in this country markedly worse than they were when he took office. Do you dispute that?

I've never criticized Obama's intentions. He was a thoughtful, deep-minded leader, and I do miss that sometimes. I don't miss the relative inaction of his administration and the "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" characteristics of his Presidency during his second term.

Sometimes you have to get your hands dirty. Racism was an enemy Obama was (initially) well-equipped to engage.

Exactly. Hence why a lot of us are downtrodden about the lack of a backbone.

did he make them worse or was it the first rip of tearing off the scab ?

I still don't understand what he was supposed to do better.
sort of a damned if you do damned if you don't proposition.

Not sure what he was supposed to do in his second term either.
Shoot they (Republican Senate) wouldn't even give his Supreme Court nominee a hearing.

Or did he abuse his Executive Order privileges.
Pretty sure I've heard you argue that --- too

I have asked before but let me try again, what was he supposed todo that he didn't ?

It took backbone for him to wake up in that house every day with theskin pigmentation he was blessed with.
At some point ...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the entire function of a scab to heal a wound? Why would you tear it off?

Obama started off pretty well. Beer summit pissed the racists off, but it was the right move. Downhill after that. The absence of leadership was like blood in the water a few summers ago.

I don't have a great answer for you, I just know that he persuaded me to pull the lever with hopes and dreams that never materialized.

Barry gipped me.

Obstructionist Congress? You've got to deal with the hand your dealt, right?

Especially true when you deal the cards yourself.

I often hear this and I wonder what the correlation is, if it is indeed true. What did Obama do that worsened race relations?

I understand why AA was dissatisfied, he wants some grand display of contrition and who knows what kind of legislation that is never going to happen. AA = Affirmative Action. Which I've have always been for, btw.

I wonder where race relations would be had Obama followed a more progressive track on race relations.

He was in a no win situation. if obama really said he what he thought about race, he would had pissed off more blacks than whites.

Seems like an odd statement from you. How so?

I guess he could have whipped up sentiment on the black side the way Trump has been spawning hatred and blustering on the White Right. I think many of these White Supremacists folks think that's exactly what he DID.

Obama wasn't a product of the American inner cities. He basically grew up middle class. I can see obama feeling like AA does, Ben Carson does and Bill Cosby did in regards to race relations. This is a guy who called Kayne a 'jackass'. I don't think obama is anywhere close to Jesse Jackson or al sharpton. I can see him saying things like 'until you respect yourself no one else will respect you' rather than just saying everything is racist.

This is the true story. If you grow up with a stable household that teaches work ethic then you will grow up to be successful. Doesn't matter if you're white/black/brown/green/blue/whatever. Until this is the message that is enstilled in the youth of America its never going to get better. No amount of government assistance is going to break the bondage of slavery.

I think you're close to the truth but I don't ever remember people on the right acknowledging this while he was in office. Then it was all, Obama is a radical liberal, socialist and racial agitator.

I think Kayne is a jackass, too.

A good thing about Obama. But like some said I think he was too scared to go down that road and leaving us hanging in the process. Look, I just did not bring this stuff up overnight. We do have black boards that brought this up everyday and we have his defenders but many more that was hounding him to come the communities more, preach more in person not send some lackey and definitely not the NAACP. He and them were at odds. It seems to me he wanted to do more but they have their own inner politics to deal with and the two men that was in his way was Sharpton and Jackson. They felt that it would minimize who they were. I don't think the thread about this in-fighting is still on the board or I will bring passages over. It was a good fight and I brought some of it here.

Many of these issues were played out in Blaxpoitation films of the 70's just with a millenial twists. I know a lot of you do not watch them. They are not too far off in what our society like in the hood.

I think I am saying is I think he WANTED to do more but unfortunately couldn't because being a house - n----r to the Progressive establishment you have someone that owns you and coach you to say what you want to say in their way.

Yeah, the HN word came up a lot in those conversations. Uncle Tom was being nice. And the board does not like Progressives that much at all because to them/us they are pushing us into the back of the line, again.

Obama was not a LIBERAL, he was just a puppet in that regards just like Bush was Cheney's. He was not a racial agitator either when he NEVER put his own race above others. He put Progressives and Hispanics and Muslims before his own race. But last I heard they are ethnic groups and not a race.

He did things as president he wouldn't have if he lived in the hood where he was at. His church did not agree with a lot of policies he set forth (Illinois Black Caucus really didn't like him) but as a mouth piece he was told to say this and do that and he would be rewarded with pats on the backs and the like. He wanted that glamour, that "it" from the opposite race for his own self. I called him a con artist (not in a bad way) and that is who he is. He melted into the fabric of white Progressive society and fed them everything they wanted to hear while ignoring what made him who he was.

Who doesn't? Although I have to admit is pretty catchy. It's probably mostly because Jamie Foxx is pretty cool :)

Banging Katie Holmes isn't a bad thing either.

Oh she is white, is that taboo to say on here.
