And thats the issue. Here in public you can just make **** up with no legal or factual basis. In a court of law you can't do that. That's why Trump and you know he will lose in a courtof law.
 
Tell me. How did Trump know he won on November 9th 2016. Votes were still being counted. Nothing has been certified. No recounts or audits had been done. Yet he knew he won. How did he know that?

That's wrong because while every voter would be getting their photo IDs, Republicans would come up with another technicality to disqualify legal voters, the majority of whom oppose their unpopular policies.

It would actually be helpful if you actually read the whole thing in context instead of cherry picking. Remember, they had to make this VP process illegal in 2022. If it wasn't legal to do in the first place they wouldn't have changed the law. Use your head for once.

I read every part of it. The problem is there werent more than one certificate or document from these states. You people keep trying very hard to misinterpret the charges. Exactly what you are claiming is the crime. The documents or certificates Trump tried to use for these purposes were fraudulent thus the crime. The 2022 law was overkill that no one thought would ever even be needed because no one thought anyone was corrupt enough to try to justify what Trumps plan was. Which ended with sending in the military to brutally put down any resistance. But again, thank you for admitting the crime. I look forward to Trump trying to use the argument you are using. Its an admission of guilt.
 
Nope, the state electors thing has been done 3 times in the past and no one went to jail.

Dems have tried in many recent elections but were declined by the VP and no one was charged either.

I think the defense will seriously consider not mounting any sort of defense on the grounds the trial is a political show trial. Such an approach has the virtue of not laying bare the fact that they really don't have a substantive defense based on facts and law.

I don't see the defense calling witnesses, least of all the defendant. They'll cross-examine the prosecution's witnesses and argue it is all a witch hunt, he's leading in the polls and this is the only way to stop him, yada yada.

Trump is daring Georgia to give him his 4th indictment. Be careful what you wish for.

He seems to think his only hope now is to lean so far into criminal behavior that the lines get so blurred that voters start to feel sorry for him and believe that he is being persecuted.

William Barr and Mike Pence on the witness stand could keep that from happening, but what will they actually say? Hopefully they'll be able to make their case using more credible witnesses.
