That may be true and I know the words smoke and mirrors aren't great, but he throws that change up and it looks like it's a fastball coming out of his hand and guys take the worst swings I've seen in a while. Touki's curve is the most tantalizing pitch you'll see arguably but for some reason I liked Zimmerman. He just pitched. Better "stuff" arms in the Braves system however will make him tradable I think.

Third pitch ? A good fb cu combo can take a guy to mlb fairly fast. I’d like to hold him as he could impact the pen pretty fast and maybe more
 
So, when do we just release Mauricio? It seems pointless to keep him around at this point.

He does have a passable curve. Honestly, for a guy signed to manipulate the slot system, he's always outperformed his tools. Like I mentioned, I thought he was one of the better pitchers I've seen this year.

Or it might mean his recent performance makes him appear to be worth more right now than he will be when he has produced a little more data and his weaknesses are exposed a bit.
