All Times Eastern

I was in Norway two weeks ago and the sun didn't go down until midnight and here I thought that was the lightest day.

Quiet GCL day with most big names in the lineup. Drew Waters had the best day, 1-2 with a single, walk, HBP. Maitan and Severino combined 0-8 with 4 Ks.

Moves you might have missed

Florida places RHP Drew Harrington on 10-day DL
Micah Johnson completes rehab, assigned to Gwinnett
Sean Rodriguez rehab continues at Mississippi
Recent FA signee Walter Borkovich promoted to Danville from GCL Braves

Acuna will be in Atlanta faster than many on here would like. Depending on what the team looms like next year it will be an interesting argument whether or not he should be.

Pretty exciting to imagine the future young position player core we could have with Freeman, Inciarte, Swanson, Albies, Acuna, and Camargo/Ruiz as utility guys. That along with our young pitching is the foundation of a really solid young team.

Acuna will probably be up in September. Right or wrong. Just a cup of coffee to get him ready for 2018. All this assuming he keeps it rolling in the 2nd half.

nobody wants to talk about it, but soon it may be time to bring him up to AAA. He has proven he can hit AA pitching. He has struggled and made adjustments. He needs to keep being pushed. He needs to be taught that Boras is the devil!!

Sometimes a player shows that conventional thoughts on what development needs and looks like needs to be thrown out the window. We may be seeing another druw or cabrera where he is truly ready at 19 years of age

Scary

Looks like Acuna could be the right handed power bat that some thought was missing from the system.
