Tyrell Jenkins promoted to the majors.

I hope its to start. I hate that he's in the pen. Maybe that's his fast track, but I think he's got more potential to start. Going all out for a few innings may be beneficial though.

Pen is probably the best place for him. He needs to work on his command a bunch. A guy striking out 6 and walking 3 per 9 in the minors doesn't bode very well for the majors.

No problem starting him in the pen. Maybe it helps him focus on missing more bats.

But I hope we are still thinking starter long term for him

If Jenkins can get guys out in the pen he will eventually get a shot at starting. With his peripheral stats at AAA I just cant see him being effective as a starter right now in the majors. His lack of durability might be a reason behind the move as well. If they dont think he can hold up for 200 innings year after year then better to get 70 innings in relief than 100 innings a year as a starter.
