I guess I can assume nobody cares about this, that they agree with it, or they don't want to have to defend it
 
For me, it's almost similar to the gay marriage issue. You want to sympathize and agree with their positions, but the tactics of their supporters make it so damn hard.

Between this kind of stuff going on at the level of the federal govt and the stifling of free speech on college campuses, it's getting harder and harder to accept the premise that the left somehow has a monopoly on tolerance.
 
I believe someone should be held accountable for the damage caused by denying scientific data in order to make or save a buck.
Would think after the revelations in Flint "we" would do a little introspection.

Please see the Mayor of Miami's this past weeks comments regarding the rising sea levels .

The Democrats were in office -- is not a defense for individual civic irresponsibility

You think people should be held accountable for potentially endangering future generations.

And yet, y'all mock me for saying running up $19T debts is stealing from future generations.

We agree a $19T debt is an issue. Where we differ is I think economics takes a back seat cataclysmic rising sea levels.
How much money will be lost when say , South Florida is a sand bar ?

Considering we know why this is happening and how to curtail it
....

Regardless, this thread is not about global warming.

It's about the audacity of this administration to trying to prosecute beliefs.

They are discussing prosecuting people for denying climate change.

You can argue that climate change deniers are stupid... And that we should be prosecuting stupidity... but if that were the case, I don't think we'd have enough jail sales for all of Bernie's supporters
 
Should those climate change deniers be in positions of authority and able to ruin the lives of people by say, letting their houses wash into the sea or watch their hard earned automobiles be rendered useless because the streets to drive them on are 6' underwater --- would that not be grounds to prosecute?

I mean... I could make a really really really long and productive argument that says most of the people in authority are hurting most of the citizens... The education system for starters...

Should we prosecute those people? Or better yet, let's prosecute the voters for putting them there!

If Bernie were elected President and was allowed to bankrupt the country into Venezuela, I'd hope we could prosecute him too.
