Video Game Thread: Atari vs. Commodore Debate...

Yeah, which is kind of sick that they're getting Bethesda backing. I won't be getting the game simply because I"m getting it for free on my PC, but I'm hoping it will be solid. I know it's really custom so it will be intersting. I certainly hope they go with SD cards though. THat's my biggest hope aside from a massive internal hard drive which I can't see

Cartridges have been confirmed as the media.

Yeah the trailer showed a cartridge being put into the system. I think the name is perfect. Very simple concept that consumers can easily understand.

The trailer was really good.

Looks like Nintendo learned from the Wii U fiasco.

System looks intriguing, my only concern is the controls look odd at first glance.

Being a Nintendo homer I'll probably buy it in about a year when the price drops a bit.

Controllers look odd but like Wii U and Wii it will offer a Pro Controller.

I preordered and I am very excited about the Switch. I am a console gamer who hasn't had the time to play video games outside of a few hours here and there, since I graduate college and got married. The Switch is literally the perfect solution for me. I take the train to work everyday and it will be nice to play games while my wife watches her shows (which I guess was the draw to the WiiU, but the software support didn't really pull me in). I hope Nintendo recognizes that there are many people that wanted to play some of those great WiiU games and ports them to the Switch.

I hope it's wildly successful and we see Microsoft and Sony replicate the Switch.

Any of you have one of those New 3DS XL's? I'm seriously considering buying one, and it appears to have an impressive library of games, and virtual classic games. Never thought I'd consider one, but I got my daughters DSI out the other day and actually found it entertaining. Given that I love Nintendo games/characters, I assume it would be more practical for me than a Vita...

I spent all my extra money on an ipad air 2, and while I like it, I have to admit to being bored with it for some reason. If I can sell it, I could almost justify adding a PS4 to the list. Tempted to play some baseball for some reason....

I got the New 3DS XL back when Red and blue were released at the VC, got the one that came with Red and Blue. I enjoy it. It gets a lot less play than my XB1 but it is great for trips and playing when the gf wants to watch something I don't.

I buy The Show every year. If we had enough people we could do an online franchise. Play the cpu and occasionally play each other if you match against a human
