Video Game Thread: Atari vs. Commodore Debate...

I've beaten both Arkham Asylum and City. I've heard meh things about Origins though. Don't know if I can get behind it considering the first 2 had Conroy and Hammill and Origins doesn't.

I thought it was pretty good. I didn't like how the game ended...it was all just so abrupt.

I only bought asylum and city because they were black friday goty editions for $15. Can't beat that. Bought fifa 3 weeks ago have only played it twice. Gonna trade it in for the show 2014

FIFA is my jam. But the gameplay reviews I read made it sound dicey. I was hoping it would be below 30 bucks by now.

FIFA and Rocksmith interest me but I can't pull the trigger on them. I'm watching for deals.

Just don't want to blow some money on it.

I'm debating on breaking my new game rule and getting stick of truth.

Was going to suggest Stick of Truth. If you enjoy South Park, you will like this game. Its RPG elements are decent too. Funny ass game

Origins was just nowhere near as good as Arkham City. Origins felt like Rock Steady just handed over the game engine and ideas to another company and the new company just did the exact same stuff Rock Steady had already done.

So what are some of your favorite levels in video games? I have a few that stand out to me.

- Majora's Mask - Stone Tower dungeon. The level is literally turned upside down about halfway through. Just an incredibly original and well executed level design.

- Uncharted 2 - Locomotion - Part when you have to go from the back of a moving train to the front.

- Metroid Prime - Phendrana drifts

- Resident Evil 4 - Castle

Legend of Zelda level 9.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Bonus Level

Super mario Kart- Rainbow Road

Chrono Trigger - 2300 AD

Mario 3 - Airship

Final Fantasy IV - Tower of Babel.

Super Metroid - Zebes

You liked the water temple? Man, that one got on my nerves. The switching boots thing got so tiresome.

I thought it was hilarious wearing the water tonic you wouldn't drown. But yeah either water or fire temple. What used to scare me as a kid was the night time young link zombies coming out of the field. I liked the puzzles in water temple while the fire temple was great imagery.

Spirit temple used to scare me to for some reason.

Or rosebud copy+paste.

Never got into the expansion packs, but The Sims is one of the most addicting games I've ever played. I was like 10-12 when I played it, hours spent playing it... then I found out about rosebud lol.

I remember the first time I had a cat burglar in the house, no alarm system. I think my brother died lol.

Picked up MLB the Show 14 for the PS4. As always its a good game. Started a RttS. Created a Closer, and and chose the Braves as my team even with Kimbrel blocking me. I figured it would be a few years before I made it to the show, and I ok with setting up for Kimbrel. But just 5 minutes ago, The Braves traded me and David carpenter to the Braves for Allen Craig. Now I am in Cards farm system.

So now you just have to find the computer algorithm that trades you from team A to the Braves instead of braves to cards.
