Viz and Teheran listed as top trade candidates

Another case of you arguing semantics. The Braves - of all teams - would be beyond stupid to take on the $58 million plus owed to take on Panda's contract. The potential difference in "settling" for Devers and Benintendi and allowing Boston to keep Moncada couldn't possibly reach that value.

Anyone who takes on his contract has to be beyond desperate - the Sox are the desperate team here, not Atlanta. Moncada instead of one of those guys isn't going to make the Braves that much more competitive any sooner.

apparently you aren't familiar with player value. IF, we took Panda AND they took Markakis, AND added a guy like Espinosa to the deal instead of a low level arm, the value would match up quite well. That would be $36m in net cash + a prospect with value of around $36m

I'd for sure trade Viz if someone offers the right deal, same with Bud.

Regarding Julio, main reason i'd want a haul is his contract. With his contract it makes him even more valuable than he is.

Not gonna get a top of the line on that type of contract.

Unless Boston wont overpay, no reason to deal him just to deal him.

Was he was being serious? Whatever the case, I don't see what whether or not one is a Christian has to do with this baseball discussion.

His view I guess....?

ignore him he's a senile old moron. I bet he believes in jesus and thinks evolution is "just a theory" too

Dawg you told me you didn't wanna participate in the Politics forum because it makes your blood boil, yet you over here bringing politics to the baseball side.

No chill man.

Keith Law's response on Twitter to whether Boston would deal Benintendi for Teheran:

"That's "Britain will be better off outside of the EU!" crazy"

Moncada I agree with; but Benintendi + doesn't seem out of line for JT at all.

I do understand from an outside perspective; they likely don't want to deal for Tehrean when he's in the middle of his hottest streak ever.

If Teheran were to finish the entire year out this strong then we will most definitely get a better haul than the DBacks deal.

sorry, i apologize, but man this flat earth society ranting about modern statistics is getting old. You either evolve with the times or you get left behind.

Please don't let these discussions spiral into that kind of **** - one of the few things that have kept this place far better than Facebook and regular fan sites.

There's other boards here for discussions that have nothing to do with Braves' baseball.
