Viz to nats?

No. They're not about to hand us more prospects to beat them with in the future.

You simply have to win trades like that, and I can't see trading Viz to them for less than Giolito or Robles and Anderson Franco - and they'd have to be nuts to pay that price.

One big issue with the Nats is that there's a pretty monumental gap between their top prospects and the rest. We aren't getting Turner, Giolito, Fedde or Robles for Viz, and after those 4, I'm struggling to find a prospect I'd want in return.

I also wonder if the Nats are really going to be that desperate for a closer. Kelley has been pretty outstanding this year, and it's not like Papelbon blew out his arm.

Yeah, this most likely doesn't happen, but anyone care to remind me where the nats got papelbon from?

The Nats got Papelbon because they could get him for virtually nothing and restructure his contract to fit in a more team friendly type deal. Rizzo really isn't the type of GM to panic and there is no way you are getting any of the top 5 for Vizcaino. Then you have guys like Difo, Stevenson, Cole that I don't think they would want to part with for a reliever.

I think they go in house with mostly Kelly, but a little bit of Treinen and Perez. I also think they may view Koda Glover (AA-college closer) as the future closer who could be ready this year if really needed. Heck, they would prolly just go cheap and get Clippard back.

They traded next to nothing for Paps, bad example.

Yeah, I know. This thread sucked. I didn't really put too much thought into it. I just saw a closer go to the dl on a contending team and we have a closer that could potentionally be available. Seems this whole board could use a dose of Xanax... Way too uptight here lately. Anyway, I'll put more thought in before I hit the Post New Thread button haha

Eh. They can't all be dingers. Keep swinging the bat.

I completely expect to hear that the Cubs have traded for Andrew Miller every time I check MLBTR personally.

I listened to Yankees' game last night on at bat app and their announcers mentioned the Cubs could be coming after Miller when Miller entered game
