State & federal courts have now ruled against GOP gerrymandering in

PA, WI, NC, TX, FL, AL & VA

7.

Some are to redistrict within the month (i dont know how that happens) and with those redistricting US House seats are expected to switch
For instance (D) could pick up 2-3 seats in each state .
238-193 w/ 4 vacancies (1/16/18)

all 7 are red state governments

This might get interesting

Aside from it being just a terrible thing to do, this was always the problem with gerrymandering. These things tend to end suddenly, and nationally. The rollback needs to be fast and brutal so no one ever attempts to gerrymander their way to power again.

of course they will - gerrymander is the political pendulum.
I read that somewhere

the significance of the correction is a change in direction in the country.
Recent (R) gerrymander is the product of what/when LBJ said his signature "handed (R) a generation ... "
As LBJ Great Society ended Roosevelt's New Deal, Trumps excess' are closing the Reagan Revolution

In 30-40 years there will be another call for the end of the redistricting of the 2020's

Breaking news: The Supreme Court DENIED a request for a stay in PA partisan

gerrymandering case. GOP lawmakers wanted court to let them hold

off on redrawing map before 2018, Court said no.

Missouri special swing h/t @mcimaps
Large swings as in WI-SD10 & AD58 pose a question:

how is it we see such large swings yet Trump approval is 80% among Reps?

Low R turnout despite high app?

Massive D turnout?

These are deep R districts. D won West Bend WI normally R+25 & up.
