However most of the time, they're fun to debate and discuss with, and that's what's more important. I'm willing to stomach a poster who has some annoying tendencies, if it means he also contributes in GDT. Do I tell them to STOP IT? No, because I know they won't anyways. If I ban them, I probably lose them which hurts the community overall.

Patio ruled basically my way or the highway. This joke of a thing about women and children being able to read the forum now that he's cleaned it up was pathetic. You have to give and take. Not everyone is a MikeAdams, not everyone is a weso1. However it makes no sense in alienating certain users just because they do weird things sometimes when we all fall in line as hardcore Braves fans.

Yea: MikeAdams was a veteran and superlative poster, and his absence creates a pretty massive content-deficit regardless of domain-name et cetera.

Another poster I miss is Horsie: his game-thread-initiating posts from back in the fanhome days were legendary lead-ups.
 
I check both boards , but have found myself actually reading more here. I have been posting with many in this group since the late 90's. It is a good, diverse group. I think I may have hit a tipping point this weekend, when AA started a thread, stickied it and he and cokeman got into a tiff. Had no problem with that, (I like AA and cokeman) but went back the next day and the thread had a new title, new first message and some of cokeman's messages had been deleted. I personally don't think AA did it, but I took it as an insult that someone (guessing PD) tried messing with the messages and flow of the thread to make it seem like there was no back and forth discussion (it was on the AS selection process). Anyway, while I will probably only lurk during the game threads rather than post, I am going to make an effort to make this my main Braves posting board from now on.
 
Another huge positive, I was sick of using 15 year old message board technology. Its nice to have something that is nice looking and not hideous.

Absolutely, I hated that the Scout forum didn't have one of the basic of features of any message board, going to the first unread post in a thread!!! Come on, I hate to think of how many hours of my life was wasted re-reading old posts trying to figure out which one was new on that board.
 
Not only that,but the Scout board had terrible coding and HTML to insert pictures and links. No way to post embedded videos from youtube.

Also had no search feature whatsoever.
 
Good riddance to this guy. I love how he wants his account deactivated, but he has since been here multiple times since he first wanted out.
 
Scout is still changing their layout even though it failed last uear. I waant gonna post there anymore because of it. So id of been here no matter what.

Boy what a shame PD destroyed a board. Probly the best braves board there was. And it was because of the posters. A mixture of day in and day out diehards who have been posting I'd say most of us for like 7+ years. That's what made it great. Maybe scout will notice the inactivity over there, scout will fire him or he'll wake up and smell the coffee (or coorslight, whatever he prefers) and resign himself

That's what will make this board great also....

I'm not banned on scout as of right now but that could change if he's able to see this post. lol

I was a member back when I was 18/19 or some 15 years ago. Before even Shanks took over. In its heyday, it was just a great board and I spent way too much of my life over their posting. I have no desire for the scout board to die, I really don't care what happens to it. I gave my thoughts on that board, had a blast, and then my voice was deleted. Why would I continue to post on a message board if my posts are going to be deleted? Doesn't that negate the entire reason to post on a message board?

I don't know what happened with Patio, but him and AA ruined that board for me. If going to a different message board as a 30 some year old man with a family is considered whining like a 12 year old, then so be it.
 
ok great I will make a note of that because I think thread flaming is a big problem with Fox. I guess the want a kinder, gentler forum on Baseball? I think that is why so mant threads are marked for delete because of flaming?

Zeros Subs are still the best. Oh boy did I ever get an ear full in my pm box. Scout is reviewing the forums here, all of them, Locker Room Pulpit included and they are not real amused. I am doing my best to deflect a lot of questions they have. Can you help a fellow out here? This the main scout people, not the new operators of the site. FoxSports now owns this site and they are less than happy.

Also someone at the main scout has a real case of hate for holden5. Dont know hat he has written that caught their attention but he is on thin ice. Wow
 
Things must be tough, we're 1 1/2 hours into a game and no GDT yet. Could this be the first time in forever there was no live GDT at Scout?
