I was not impressed with the stuff Anderson showed in spring training. Fastball was unimpressive.
That's impressive what you were able to glean out of 3 innings in 2 whole games.

Minter got hit hard.
Have any of the pitchers in Gwinnett fared well this year? It seems like everytime I look in this thread that two of the AAA guys got shelled.
You're right. I suppose I was expecting far more dominant performances than I've seen this year from that group, and especially from Wilson. I thought he looked like the most ready to contribute of all the farm arms this year.
yeah he's been a little disappointing. but then he was probably never as good as he showed, anyway. chef doing the review of his stuff didn't instill a ton of confidence. still time to improve as he's only 21. and he probably has the stuff to be a reliever.
Then why not make him a reliever?
Oh I forgot - we've got a great pen.
Nowhere did I say a 3.60 per/9 was good. But a 20 year old improving his rate from 4.66 to 3.6... is a significant sign that he was adjusting and having real success. A 20 or 21 year old with a 3.60 per/9 at AA is not exactly much of a concern... especially when you see how quickly he sees results after making adjustments.
And yet he leads the Southern League in strikeouts after just turning 21.
Who is this Waters guy.

Leave it to striker to beat the horse to death while also overreacting

With how bad the pen is this year I'd probably move him there and let him cut his teeth in Atlanta out of the pen. It doesn't have to be a permanent move if he develops some more and can start. Wainwright closed out a Cards World Series and then went on to be an ace starter. I don't get why teams are sometimes scared of this.
