Bustista continuing the strong showing against minor leaguers.

Luke Jackson working on making his numbers across both levels more consistent.

Bautista...
MLB '17 = -0.5 fWAR in 157 games, .674 ops
AAA '18 = .384 ops before 0-4 today

Camargo...
MLB '17 = 1.2 fWAR in 82 games, .783 ops
AAA '18 = .997 ops

Better hitter = Camargo
Better defender = Camargo
Starting 3b = Bautista

Why do our GMs keep having these bizarre fetishes for 3b (Garcia, olivera, Bautista)?

I think it's clear AA doesn't believe in Camargo. And that's an understandable stance to take as many on here don't believe in his SSS last year.

AA has a past with Joey Bats and is throwing him a bone to see if any magic happens. If/when he falls on his face he will be gone soon enough.

Well in a year before our window opens, doesn't it make sense to see if Camargo was a fluke or not? Bautista seems like a play to sell tickets, not a sound baseball move

I would play Camargo, sure. Also could point to either a big upgrade at 3B next year too or Riley being the guy for most of the year if he continues to impress.
